Summary In the following pages will be found the principal addresses which I made in the campaign for the Presidency in the fall of nineteen hundred and twenty-eight. These addresses set forth my views on the principal subjects of discussion before the people. It must be kept in mind that, like all similar addresses, they were limited as to time and based upon the conditions which normally prevail in a political discussion. They appear here substantially as they were delivered, and represent the convictions which I entertained during the campaign, and which I still cherish. - Foreword.
